Our story goes back to 2008

About Us

Lucy the owner of the salon started grooming at aged only 12 years old! Lucy's love of dogs was there from the youngest of ages and only grew deeper each year. Lucy became passionate and eager to learn more about working with dogs when she started volunteering at a local dog groomers. Lucy then had found her dream, and had never been able to enjoy something so much before. Lucy became increasingly proud of her work and achievements and gained thorough enjoyment from work!

Throughout the years, Lucy moved from grooming on her mum's floor and covering her mums bath tub in dog hair! (Sorry mum!!) to grooming on top of her washing machine, swiftly moving to a portacabin. This is when the business and lucy's achievements and work were beginning to be talked about and recognised which lead to an expansion ... a Luxury state of the art, grooming salon which was specially designed for dogs to be groomed and to wait in comfort & luxury. Our salon was OPEN! Built and designed mainly ourselves (with a few friends & tradesmen to help) with blood, sweat and tears. Lucy and her team fastly became one of the most popular grooming salons in the area with clients travelling up to an hour to visit!

At present, Lucy still owns and manages Dee Dee Dog Grooming, holds a Level 4/5 qualification in dog grooming, animal care and salon management. Lucy has also been awarded her MASTER CRAFTMAN GROOMER award and works part-time as a dog groomer to the public (We think she always will!). Lucy also is qualified in teaching dog grooming and regularly runs courses for her students throughout the year.

IT'S NOT JUST A GROOMING SALON...

We also offer trainee grooms at cheaper/reduced prices, ultrasonic teeth cleaning, mini photoshoots, dog boutique on-site, puppy packages, spa packages, spa days and spa add on's, canine massage, doggy play in our paddock!
